THE WAIT IS OVER: Best Dam Festival Arrives This Saturday!
This eight-hour celebration of cuisine and entertainment promises to be the highlight of the spring season, with residents and visitors alike clearing their weekend schedules for the highly anticipated event. The festival, running from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, will feature an impressive lineup of musical talent headlined by 84 A Tribute to Van Halen, the region's most electrifying tribute band. Their performance will cap off a day filled with entertainment that includes hometown country artist Kyle Dills at 2:30 PM and beloved beach music favorites The Entertainers Band at 4:15 PM.
"The Best Dam Food Festival is going to be an absolute blast - we're bringing together the most amazing food vendors, rocking live music, and fantastic family fun all in one incredible day!" says Caroline Hasty, Event Manager.
Festival-goers won't just feast their ears but their taste buds as well, with an array of culinary delights ranging from fresh-made pizza and kettle corn to gourmet lobster rolls and authentic BBQ from top local vendors. Bringing back this year, attendees can cast their vote for "Best Dessert" and "Best Entrée" by simply scanning a QR code located at the festival, adding a friendly competition among the food vendors.
"We're excited to let our visitors be the judges this year," adds Hasty. "The food vendor competitions will add another layer of fun as people sample their way through the festival."
In addition to the gastronomic offerings, attendees can enjoy free light amusements for all ages and browse an eclectic marketplace featuring everything from luxury golf carts to artisanal candles. Make sure you clear your photo storage on your phone for the many selfie opportunities.

In partnership with Artistic Embroidery of Baxter, York County, the festival offers t-shirts, hats, and sweatshirts in groovy tie-dye and classic faded denim designs. Early purchases are recommended as supplies are limited and will not be sold on the festival site.
The festival will take place at 2351 New Grey Rock Road with free shuttle transportation available from Gold Hill Middle School starting at 4:00 PM.
